Why am I unable to export my report to Microsoft Excel enable and synchronize files through Desktop File Sync (DFS)?

Both DFS and report exports to Microsoft Excel leverage the ActiveX control when using the Internet Explorer (IE) browser.

Use the following Ariba articles to troubleshoot issues with exporting reports:

• Verify my browser security settings
• Resolving "acquire" or "authenticate" errors
• Download the current version of the Ariba ActiveX control

• You are exporting a report for the first time using Microsoft Internet Explorer and you rejected the option to install the Ariba Client Automation ActiveX Control.
• You encounter errors when exporting reports to Excel.

As a workaround to using Excel, create an export-only report in comma-separated values (CSV) format.

• ActiveX is only supported in IE browsers.  
• If you do not have administrator privileges on your computer, contact your Information Technology administrator resolve the issue. Installing the ActiveX Control requires administrator privileges.
