How do I download the current version of the Ariba ActiveX control?

You can download the latest ActiveX control directly from your Ariba solution by exporting a report to Microsoft Excel.

If an update is available, depending on your ActiveX control settings, your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser prompts you to install the latest Active X control.

If you are a system administrator who needs to install the Ariba ActiveX control for all users in your organization:

1. Open your Internet Explorer browser.
2. Navigate to Ariba's ActiveX download site.
3. Save the file.
4. Unregister the clientautomation.dll using a command prompt:
   
   regsvr32 /u {Windows Folder}\Downloaded Program Files\clientautomation.dll
   
   
5. If reinstalling, make sure to erase the file from Downloaded Program Files.
6. In {Windows Folder}\Downloaded Program Files, erase clientautomation.dll.
7. Unzip the clientautomation.cab file to the C drive, and copy it to {Windows Folder}\Downloaded Program Files.
8. Copy C:clientautomation.dll to {Windows Folder}\Downloaded Program Files.
9. Register the file using a command prompt:
   
   regsvr32 {Windows Folder}\Downloaded Program Files\clientautomation.dll
   
   
10. Complete the Ariba ActiveX Control installation.
