How do I create a credit memo?

Answer

To create PO-based or service header level credit memo:

  1. Click Workbench > Orders.
  2. Click the PO number hyperlink to open the order.
  3. Click Create Invoice > Credit Memo for a header level credit memo.
  4. Click Create Invoice > Line Item Credit Memo for a line item credit memo.
  5. Enter the invoice number and adjustment amounts (in negative numbers) in the fields provided.
  6. Click Next to review then click Submit.

Non-PO credit memo:

  1. Click Create > Non-PO Invoice from the upper-right of the home page.
  2. Select a customer name from the pull-down menu.
  3. Select Credit Memo and click Next.
  4. Enter the required information and credit amounts.
  5. Click Next to review then click Submit.
Additional Information

If your customer's invoice rules allow, you can add a discount to the credit memo by selecting Add to Header > Discount. This will allow you to add a discount percentage or amount.
