How do I create a credit memo?
To create PO-based or service header level credit memo:
- Click Workbench > Orders.
- Click the PO number hyperlink to open the order.
- Click Create Invoice > Credit Memo for a header level credit memo.
- Click Create Invoice > Line Item Credit Memo for a line item credit memo.
- Enter the invoice number and adjustment amounts (in negative numbers) in the fields provided.
- Click Next to review then click Submit.
Non-PO credit memo:
- Click Create > Non-PO Invoice from the upper-right of the home page.
- Select a customer name from the pull-down menu.
- Select Credit Memo and click Next.
- Enter the required information and credit amounts.
- Click Next to review then click Submit.
If your customer's invoice rules allow, you can add a discount to the credit memo by selecting Add to Header > Discount. This will allow you to add a discount percentage or amount.
