How do I merge/consolidate accounts?

Resolution

It is not possible to merge two accounts that have different SAP Business Network IDs, however, you do have some consolidation options.

Here are the 3 options you have to manage your accounts:

1. Complete consolidation:

For this option, you will need to select 1 account within the company to serve as the main account. For all other accounts that exist within the company, you will need to work with the customers on those other accounts to ensure that all of the data is transferred over to the ANID of the main account. For example, purchase orders and other remaining documents that have been sent to those other accounts will need to be canceled by the buyer, and resent over the the ANID of the main account. This can only be done as long as a trading relationship exists with that particular customer on the main account. If a customer that you would like to be connected with does not appear as a customer on the main account, please contact them directly. You will need to provide them with the ANID of the main account, and ask for your customer to send a trading relationship request to the main account ANID. For instructions on how a buyer can send a trading relationship request, see How do I send a trading relationship request to a single supplier.

Once you have worked with the customers on the other accounts in ensuring that all of the data has been transferred over to the main account ANID, the administrators for those other accounts would be able to expire their account by contacting SAP Support. This ensures that there is only 1 account that remains open for your company. In order to successfully expire an account, see How do I delete my SAP Business Network account? For more information on how you can contact SAP Support through the Help Center, see How do I contact Business Network Customer Support as a supplier?

If you use your accounts for Sourcing Events, you may not always be able to use this method of consolidation. Each buyer can have different information set up in their site that would force you to have multiple ANIDs.

2. Account hierarchy:

This option keeps all accounts open, but links them together with 1 main account acting as the parent, and the other accounts as children. Please see How do I create an Account Hierarchy? for further details to decide if this option suits your needs.

3. Linking user IDs:

If you have multiple accounts that you maintain or have access to, it can be difficult to remember different usernames and passwords. This option works more for individual users than for an overall company.

Linking user IDs allows you to seamlessly login to one account, then switch to any other linked usernames with a click instead of having to logout and log back in with a different user ID. The article How do I use the Link User IDs option? provides details.
