Below cases are known limitations for the tool:

Some of the passthrough scenarios are not available to use in the mapping tool, such as budget check. Refer to How to do mapping for RequisitionBudgetCheckExportRequest using CIG Mapping tool
Limitation on comments:
- IDOC to cXML - We cannot map the IDOC comments to comments node in cXML
- cXML to IDOC/Proxy - For example in IDOC, the comments need to be mapped to TDLINE and length of TDLINE is 70 characters. In CIG mappings, we cannot split the comments and create multiple TDLINE
Mapping a custom string to ARBCIG extension. Mainly in P2P document types
