How can I configure multifactor authentication settings in SAP Business Network?
Symptom

How can I configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings in SAP Business Network?


Resolution

As the SAP Business Network account administrator, or if you are a buyer user assigned a role with the User Administration permission, you can configure specific MFA settings.

In order to do this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Sign into your SAP Business Network account
  2. Click [user initials] > Settings > Users
  3. Click the Manage User Authentication tab
  4. Click Configure multifactor authentication settings

The Configure Multi-factor Authentication Settings page will appear.

  1. Enter a value for Time allowed to skip multi-factor authentication setup
  2. Enter a value for Number of invalid multi-factor authentication attempts allowed
  3. Enter a value for Retry period for locked out users
  4. Select the Enable the Remember me option check box, if desired, to allow your users to choose the Remember me option for MFA
  5. Enter a value for Remember device for
  6. Click Save

You can also keep the default configuration for any of these fields, if you prefer.
