I'm assigned to the Customer Administrator group, but I’m unable to update a parameter using Intelligent Configuration Manager in the production realm.

Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM)

1. Navigate to Manage > Administration (for Sourcing) or Core Administration (for Buyer).

2. Click Intelligent Configuration Manager > Manage Configuration and then click Continue.

3. Click Buying and Invoicing (for Buyer) or Sourcing and Contracts (for Sourcing), then select Parameters from the drop-down list.

4. Search for the parameter you want to change.

5. You’ll see there’s no option to update the parameter value.

As per system design, even if you have the Customer Administrator group access, you only have read-only access in Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM) when working in a production site, so you can’t make direct changes.

The behavior you experience in the production site is expected. Even if you have Customer Administrator group access, the system gives you read-only permission in Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM) when you're in production site. You can’t make changes directly in the production site ICM.

To update or change the parameter value, you need to first develop the changes in the test site. Then, you need to test those changes to make sure they work as expected. Once everything is confirmed, you can deploy the parameter changes to the production site.
