Why can’t I edit fields in the Company Profile?

Symptom

I'm trying to edit the Company Profile section of my supplier production account, but fields are grayed out and not editable.

Environment

SAP Business Network

Cause

Your account is a child account and linked to a parent account. The Company Profile of your account is linked to the parent account, which is the account that can manage and edit the Company Profile information. Only the administrator of the parent organization can edit the Company profile.

Resolution

To enable editing for the child account, you can unlink its Company Profile from the parent account. Once unlinked, the Company Profile section of the child account will become editable.
