What is the Force Complete Task action in Contract workspace (CW) or Sourcing workspaces?
You can use the Force Complete Task action to close unwanted or obsolete tasks in a workspace. While there are many reasons you might need to force complete a task, the following list includes a few common scenarios:
- You created a task inadvertently and can't delete it from the workspace
- An action completed elsewhere in the project added an unwanted required task to the workspace
- A task is obsolete because you completed the task's actions outside of SAP Ariba
For example, obtaining an electronic signature outside of the task's workflow
You can use the Force Complete Task action to close unwanted or obsolete tasks in a workspace.
Use the following procedure to force complete a task in a workspace:
- Open the workspace
- On the Tasks tab, locate the task you'd like to complete
- Select the task's name, then select Action > Force Complete Task
- Select a value for the Alternative Status field and enter a comment (optional)
To see how the Alternative Status value affects a task's status in the user interface, - Select OK
You must be a member of the Customer Task Administrator group to see and use the Force Complete Task action.
