Guided buying now allows users to collaborate when purchasing, leveraging the combined skills of individuals. Users and administrators create teams of users who work together to create requisitions and receipts for a common organizational goal.
Today users in guided buying can create a team shopping cart but they will need to punch-in to Ariba Buying to do this. Guided buying Team Requisition feature brings this capability into guided buying so that no punch-in to Ariba Buying is required.
This feature enables a user who is defined as a team member to access the requisitions created by the requester, including requisitions in the Composing state. The team member can perform any action on the requisition that the requester can do, for example, edit, cancel, submit, delete, or withdraw the requisition. The approval process for receipts can be configured to include requesters and their team members to the approval flow of receipts to allow anyone from the requester’s team to receive goods for receipts associated with team requisitions or requisitions flagged for team receiving.

Interaction with SAP Ariba Procurement solutions:
- Teams are defined differently in SAP Ariba Procurement solutions and guided buying. SAP Ariba Procurement solutions team requisitions aren't supported in guided buying; similarly, guided buying team requisitions aren’t supported in SAP Ariba Procurement solutions.
Interaction with receiving settings:
- Team receiving isn't available if the administrator sets either of the following guided buying parameters:
- ENABLE_RECEIVING_MANAGER: Allows users (such as receiving managers) to receive on behalf of other users.
- SET_ADVANCED_RECEIVE_TAB: Sends users to SAP Ariba Procurement solutions to perform receiving.
In the June Service Pack, the parameter PARAM_ENABLE_TEAM_BUYING was introduced that allows customers to turn off the team buying and receiving feature. By default, this parameter is true, so team buying and receiving is turned on. For further information, please see the Release Update.
