Why should I use BAdI instead of Mapping Tool to implement logic customization?

Mapping Tool does not support complex transformation, logic and rules. The best approach for these scenarios is to implement the customization via BAdI.

Using the BAdI available in your ERP allows you to have better control regarding the desired modifications and to implement easy changes when necessary, which would need a Change Request if the logic was initially implemented through a custom mapping via CR.
