It is a first step toward fuller adoption of SAPs Intelligent Enterprise Suite guidelines.

Thai language support in all SAP Ariba cloud solutions is now available. You can now navigate through all SAP Ariba cloud solutions with Thai set as the preferred language, and SAP Ariba administrators can upload translations for Thai language.

This feature introduces changes to the supplier update phase to align it more closely with updates to individual questionnaires rather than completion of all tasks in the update phase. Suppliers and internal users can now update individual registration questionnaires whenever needed and approved updates to external questionnaires are automatically synchronized to integrated ERP systems immediately after questionnaire approval.

  Improvements to commodity, region, and department choosers in internal supplier management questionnaires [SM-16442]
This feature introduces improvements to the user interface chooser for department, region, and department questions in internal supplier management questionnaires so that users browsing a commodity, region, or department hierarchy can easily identify how to select values, which values are already selected, and (for commodity only), which hierarchy levels they can't select because of restrictions in the template.

  Support for resynchronizing integrated suppliers in the classic supplier 360° profile [SM-17847]
This feature introduces the ability to manually resynchronize already-integrated suppliers with the ERP system when integration errors occur.  Previously, this functionality was only supported in the new supplier 360° profile.

  Ability to restart denied supplier registrations [SM-4721]
This feature introduces two options for restarting denied supplier registrations.   Registration managers can generate a new round of the approval flow to process the currently submitted registration questionnaires, or reinvite the supplier to the registration to ask them to update their previous answers.

  Ability to remind suppliers to submit periodic registration updates [SM-16802]
This feature adds configuration options that allow you to remind suppliers to update registration questionnaires at periodic intervals so that those questionnaires always contain current information.
     




2005  
  Ability for buyer to configure sender name in invitation emails [SM-18117]
This feature adds a new template-level setting that allows template creators to specify a custom sender name for external registration questionnaires. This custom sender name replaces the generic system alias in the "From" field in new registration invitations and invitation reminders. You can use this setting to specify an alias for an entity in your organization that suppliers are likely to recognize, such as a supplier onboarding group.

  New email notifications for supplier registration reminders [SM-18305]
This feature adds new email notification templates for reminding suppliers to complete their registrations.  These templates include language that is specific to supplier registrations and links to registration questionnaires.

  Pending Approval status for supplier view of questionnaires [SM-18459]
This feature adds the Pending Approval questionnaire status to the supplier view of questionnaires.

  Ability to specify requester when inviting a supplier to register [SM-20904]
This feature adds a new step in manual registration invitations where registration managers can choose the requester for the registration, such as an individual in your organization with whom the supplier is familiar or already has a relationship. The requester's name shows in the "From" field of registration invitations.

  Supplier request and duplicate check enhancements [SM-12587]
This feature makes it easier to collect supplier contact time zone information in the supplier request and adds a number of improvements to duplicate check, including matching against inactive and migrated suppliers, supporting custom duplicate check based on questions with answer types other than text, and user interface enhancements.

  Enhancements to handling of denied questionnaires [SM-14205]
This feature introduces several enhancements to the way SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions handle previous versions of questionnaires that were denied by an approver, including new labels in questionnaire version comparison to identify the approval decision associated with each version and enhancements to task comments so that they show the task action associated with each comment.  These enhancements allow users to identify denied questionnaire versions and the comments describing reasons for denial.

  Display new supplier contact names with family names first in the new supplier 360° profile [SM-17591]
Displays new supplier contact names in the reverse order of how they are created. This applies to all areas that supplier contact names are displayed, including external notifications. This feature is for sites that use the new supplier 360° profile.

This feature adds new SM Vendor Id and ERP Vendor Id fields to the supplier dimension in analytical reporting so that users in sites that include SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance or SAP Ariba Supplier Information and Performance Management (classic architecture) can see those IDs in reports on their suppliers.

  Support for questions based on additional types of master data [SM-3049]
This feature adds the ability to create master data questions in supplier management questionnaires based on company code, purchasing organization, payment terms, and incoterms master data from an integrated ERP system.  The list of possible answers for these questions is populated directly from integrated master data, eliminating the need to manually maintain answers that match the current data in the ERP system.

This feature adds the ability to reassign a different supplier contact to external questionnaires in completed registrations. Registration managers can reassign questionnaires to different contacts to make sure that the most appropriate contact can access external registration questionnaires for the supplier to make updates.

  Syntax validation for supplier bank account information [SM-9656]
This feature validates some fields in Bank Account questions  to help ensure that the bank information provided by suppliers is in the expected format before it is synchronized with an integrated ERP system. It includes default syntax validations and new data import tasks that allow you to define your own country-specific syntax validations so that they match the syntax requirements of your ERP system, helping to prevent integration errors caused by invalid supplier bank account information.

This feature allows you to access key information previous, archived projects after template upgrade, including previous questionnaire versions, event messages, bid histories for recipient responses, documents, and tasks.

This feature allows buyers to register on behalf of suppliers without the supplier's participation through either a data import or a registration project where internal recipients fill out external questionnaires on behalf of the supplier.  Registration managers can later invite suppliers to internal registrations to transfer responsibility for providing information in external questionnaires to the supplier.

  Support for mapping SAP region codes in supplier extended addresses to Ariba Network state codes [SM-18605]
This feature adds configurable master data to define mappings between the region codes used in Extended Address questions in supplier management questionnaires and the ISO 3166-2 state codes that Ariba Network uses in supplier profile addresses so customers can update those mappings as needed when their ERP region data changes.

This feature replaces the static, SAP Ariba-defined postal code validations in the Address and Extended Address questions in supplier management questionnaires with master data definitions that you can customize to meet syntax requirements of an integrated ERP system and update as needed.

This feature introduces the ability to copy control-based engagement risk assessment projects to create new engagement requests with the same business details and inherent risk screening information.

  Remove users in engagement and issue assignee project groups using project team management [ARI-6024]
This feature introduces more flexibility for managing control-based engagement risk assessment and issue assignee project groups without requiring permission to access the advanced view of the project, including removing team members, adding global user groups, and removing global user groups from the Project Owners project group.

  Enhancements to engagement task management [ARI-6919]
This feature introduces tools for viewing and managing tasks for reviewing controls and filling out supplemental engagement questionnaires in engagement risk assessment projects.  Owners for these tasks are typically project groups.  These task management tools allow group members to assign and reassign tasks to specific individual users or back to the original group.  New task details, accessed from the engagement page, provide a task-oriented view of each engagement where task owners can view and manage its tasks.

This feature adds the ability to automatically identify engagements that don't require risk controls and therefore only require a basic approval workflow. The basic approval workflow includes only the phase for engagement request approval, bypassing the send assessments, evidence collection, control review, and final project approval phases, to streamline the workflow for these engagements.

This feature introduces a configuration option that allows you to require that all issue management projects associated with a control-based engagement risk assessment project be completed before approvers can finally approve or deny the engagement project.

Assessments and notifications sent using the simple workflow in control-based engagement risk assessment projects can now be sent to the supplier primary contact only. Previously, the external assessments and notifications were sent to all supplier contacts. The recipient of the external assessments can now be changed on the engagement page for the simple workflow.

A new parameter determines whether all tasks, or just any approval tasks for the inherent risk screening questionnaire, in the initial approval phase are reopened in response to an insignificant change requiring approval. Previously, only the approval tasks would be reopened.

This feature introduces the ability for an authorized user to edit a submitted change request for an engagement even if it is already in the due diligence process.

  Email notifications about suppliers submitted to Environmental and Social providers for risk evaluation [ARI-8870]
Email notifications are automatically sent to the internal users who submit suppliers to Environmental & Social third-party providers for risk analysis. Notifications are sent when suppliers are submitted for risk evaluation, when supplier risk evaluation updates are received from the third-party provider, and when the supplier risk evaluation submission fails.

This feature adds optional conditional questions and answers to the business details questionnaire. The answers to the conditional questions allow you to override certain questions on the inherent risk screening questionnaire.

This feature adds new columns for engagement inherent risk and residual risk to the dashboard engagement list so that both risk ratings are visible at a glance.  It also adds the ability assign or reassign multiple tasks at once to the engagement task list.

  Action queue for engagement projects [ARI-9396]
This feature introduces a new Action queue page for users to access their open approvals, To Do tasks, and other actions for control-based risk assessment projects. A new Actions tile is available on the Supplier Risk dashboard that shows the number of open approvals, To Do tasks, and other actions.

  Enhanced team management in engagement requests and issues [ARI-9550]
This feature introduces an enhanced team management popup where individual users and global user groups can be added, removed, and changed in one place. The enhanced team management is available on the engagement page. Previously, changing the project owner, managing the project team, and managing the change request team were available in separate action popups.

  Email notifications for risk alerts and third-party provider evaluation updates [ARI-9934]
Risk alert email notifications now include third-party provider risk evaluation updates. Users automatically receive one daily email notification at 9:00 a.m. EST that summarizes the risk alerts and third-party provider evaluation updates for suppliers they follow.

  Custom risk levels for Environmental and Social provider EcoVadis [ARI-11359]
Custom risk levels are now available for Environmental & Social provider EcoVadis. The custom risk levels are the same levels used by EcoVadis. The five risk levels are Insufficient, Partial, Moderate, Advanced, and Outstanding. The custom levels use the same colors as EcoVadis.

  Periodic review of risk controls [ARI-6204]
This feature introduces tools to customize the relationship between assessment questionnaires and their associated control reviews. It can account for the need to re-review controls when assessments are updated, to expire controls so that they can be reassessed periodically, and to provide a clear view of the controls associated with each supplier.

  Periodic reviews of engagements [ARI-6205]
Manage the ongoing relationship with suppliers and mitigate risk by enabling periodic and ad hoc reviews of engagements. The system tracks changes made, if any, and audits all review decisions.
