This feature introduces the ability for users to log in to the SAP Ariba developer portal via single sign-on (SSO) rather than by explicitly presenting additional credentials, if they are already logged into SAP Ariba Connect.

Support for whitelisting IP addresses in CIDR format on the SAP Ariba developer portal [OPEC-4830]
CIDR range whitelisting allows customers to control the CIDR ranges from which an application can execute web service calls to SAP Ariba APIs. When whitelisting is in use, only applications originating from an approved list of CIDR ranges can call APIs. Applications originating from an approved CIDR range must still present the correct application key and undergo OAuth authentication.

When the number of records matching a RESTful asynchronous SAP Ariba reporting API query exceeds the number of records permitted by the system, the response now includes the the maximum records permitted, a token for the next page of records, and several new fields to help navigate and enumerate the results set.

Returning a large results set can be time consuming. This new API endpoint synchronously returns the total number of records that would be included in the results set of a RESTFul SAP Ariba reporting API query with specified parameters.

Simplification of the API access request interface
To guarantee a match between your application and a valid customer site, this feature changes the "Realm name" field on the "Application Details" dialog to a simple dropdown list populated with all eligible customer sites in your organization.

This feature introduces enhancements to the Supplier Data API with Pagination to improve responsiveness, include more relevant data in output, and provide more options for retrieving supplier management workspace information. SAP Ariba APIs to update and fetch status of lookups
The API set provided by this feature enables your application to update existing lookups in SAP Ariba solutions by uploading new lookup files. It also enables you to fetch the status of lookups from SAP Ariba solutions.  The following APIs are available:
  • lookup upload API – uploads lookup files to the content management system (CMS) in SAP Ariba solutions to update existing lookups
  • lookup status API – fetches the status of lookups from the content management system (CMS) in SAP Ariba solutions

Field names and descriptions for reportable fields extracted by the SAP Ariba Operational Reporting API
Starting with this release, reportable data extracted by the SAP Ariba Operational Reporting API include field names and descriptions to provide more information about the fields containing procurement data. This enhancement is available in reports extracted for requisitions, orders, and receipts.

API enhancements related to supplier IDs
This feature introduces several important API enhancements related to supplier IDs. In the Supplier Data API and the Supplier Data API with Pagination, it introduces the ability to retrieve data for specific suppliers by ID. In the External Approval API for Sourcing and Supplier Management, it introduces the ability to retrieve supplier IDs that are associated with questionnaires, tasks, and supplier management projects so that results returned by the API can be mapped back to third-party systems.

Display warnings from the Validating and enriching API
If guided buying receives warnings from the Validating and enriching approvable data in an external system API, it stops and displays them. Users see these warnings and can make changes in their requisitions before submitting them.
