A commerce eXtensible Markup Language (cXML) sent from the Ariba Network (AN) to Ariba Procurement Solution fails with the error message:

Authentication failed for Sender [AN01000000001] at Domain [NetworkID].

Submit a Case through Ariba Connect to reset the shared secret for the your AN account:

1. You need to update this new value in various locations, depending on your other environments.
2. For on-demand buyers, SAP Ariba Customer Support must also copy the updated shared secret value to the procurement and invoicing and sourcing site profiles.

Also, validate that End Point Configuration is pointing to a valid URL. For the guided buying request for quote (RFQ) flow, see How to configure end points for guided buying.

The shared secret on the your AN buyer account or in your Ariba Procurement Solution is not configured properly or does not match across the applications. This causes the routing of the invoice to fail.

Another possible reason for the failure is that the End Point Configuration is pointing to an invalid URL.
