This article provides answers for commonly asked questions about deleting documents in Ariba.
Is it possible to recover a deleted document?
No. Project deletion is permanent, and cannot be undone. A warning screen should have appeared when deleting the project indicating that the deletion will be final. This applies to all documents in your Spend Management application.

Can users control what documents can be deleted?
A parameter called Application.ACM.ProjectDeleteLimited limits the deletion of projects, events, and documents.
Setting this parameter to No , allow users to delete any document, event, or project under any circumstance.
Documents within a full project or workspace, created from the template, cannot be deleted even if with this parameter set to No.
Setting this parameter to YES, limits the user to certain conditions in order to delete the particular workspace. These conditions follow:

Can I view a deleted document ?
Yes. To view a deleted document, you must:
If I can view the document, why is Ariba unable to recover it?
Only a shell of the project remains in the User Interface for viewing and audit purposes. No actual record of the event remains.
Is there any way to recreate a deleted event?
No. The event became has been removed and became unavailable in the Sourcing Library.
A deleted event, can be exported to Microsoft® Excel® and reimported into a new event.
Why do deleted documents appear in some reports?
Some reports use Facts that do not have a delete load that removes the deleted record from Ariba Analysis. The following Facts contain a delete load, which removes deleted records from the report results. All other Facts return deleted records.
NOTE: If a report contains deleted documents, they cannot be filtered out of the report.
