Why do I get the message: "You can't continue. Terms of use must be accepted to continue" when I attempt to login to or create my SAP Ariba supplier account?
Symptom

When I try to access or create my SAP Ariba account I get the message: "You cannot continue. Terms of Use must be accepted to continue."


Cause

Resolution

If you are trying to log in to an existing account, contact your company's administrator user and request that they perform the steps described below:

  1. Login with the admin user.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click [Your Initials] > Settings > Users > Manage unapproved users.
  3. Select your user account > click on Approve.
  4. Log out the Admin User account.
  5. Return to the event invitation email.
  6. Click the Click Here link > Use Existing Account option.
  7. Log in with your User ID and password.

If you are registering a new user account, be aware that the creation process can only be made after the account administrator accepts the portal terms of use. Contact your administrator and ask them to:

  1. Log on with the admin user.
  2. Accept the terms of use (which will appear right after logging in).

You can then start the account creation process again.
