How do I create a new user on SAP Business Network Discovery?
You can create a new user on SAP Business Network Discovery if you are the account administrator:
- In the upper-right corner of the application, click [user initials] > Settings.
- Select Manage Users.
- Under the Manage Roles tab, click the blue plus button to add a new role. If there is an existing role that can be used for this new user, you do not need to add a new role.
After confirming that there is a role for this user, follow the below steps to create the new user:
- Click Manage Users at the top of the page.
- Click the blue plus button on the far right side of the page.
- Enter the user information in the Username, Email Address, First Name, and Last Name fields.
- Select the This user is the SAP Business Network Discovery Contact check box to assign the SAP Business Network Discovery Contact role to the new user, or select a previously created in the Role Assignment section. ?The SAP Business Network Discovery Contact role assigns the following three permissions to the user:
- Create and manage postings on SAP Business Network Discovery
- Premium Membership and Services Management
- Respond to postings on SAP Business Network Discovery
- Click Done.
SAP Business Network Discovery sends a notification to the email address associated with the new user account. This email notification provides the username and a temporary password to access the account.
If the SAP Business Network Discovery Contact role is insufficient for the needs of your new user, you can create a new role.
