How do I create a new user on SAP Business Network Discovery?


Resolution

You can create a new user on SAP Business Network Discovery if you are the account administrator:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the application, click [user initials] > Settings.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Under the Manage Roles tab, click the blue plus button to add a new role. If there is an existing role that can be used for this new user, you do not need to add a new role.

After confirming that there is a role for this user, follow the below steps to create the new user:

  1. Click Manage Users at the top of the page.
  2. Click the blue plus button on the far right side of the page.
  3. Enter the user information in the Username, Email Address, First Name, and Last Name fields.
  4. Select the This user is the SAP Business Network Discovery Contact check box to assign the SAP Business Network Discovery Contact role to the new user, or select a previously created in the Role Assignment section. ?The SAP Business Network Discovery Contact role assigns the following three permissions to the user:
    • Create and manage postings on SAP Business Network Discovery
    • Premium Membership and Services Management
    • Respond to postings on SAP Business Network Discovery
  5. Click Done.

SAP Business Network Discovery sends a notification to the email address associated with the new user account. This email notification provides the username and a temporary password to access the account.
