This feature enhances user privacy options in support of the user's right to be forgotten, institutes a new Data Protection Officer (DPO) group, and provides the means for members of the DPO group to block users.
Customers expect their data to be secured. SAP Ariba, as a cloud software provider, has the obligation to secure and protect their data. This is much more important when it is related to personal data. Also, customers need SAP Ariba to protect the systems from malicious activities and failing to do so will lead to reputational and financial damage for customers.
Having a well-established data protection mechanism, especially related to personal data, will not only meet the regulatory requirements, but also meet customer expectations for handling their data. This helps avoid breaches of regulatory standards related to data privacy, which can have severe negative impact on customers, from both financial and reputational perspectives.

Gebruikersblokkering heeft de volgende beperkingen:
- Als de gebruiker is gemaakt in de bovenliggende site, kunt u die gebruiker niet van de onderliggende site blokkeren. Ga naar de bovenliggende site om de gebruiker te blokkeren.
- U kunt een gebruiker niet blokkeren in een in de suite geïntegreerde SAP Ariba Sourcing- en Contracts-site. Ga naar de site van SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing om een gebruiker te blokkeren.
Als de klant een klantspecifiek privacybeleid wil presenteren voor acceptatie door de gebruiker, moet de klant het beleid samenstellen en moet een klantbeheerder zijn naam opgeven met behulp van de selfserviceparameter Privacybeleidsnaam (Application.User.CustomDataPolicyName).
