While responding to an auction, I see a hammer icon in green, orange, or gray, but I do not know what it means.

Buyers can choose different forms of participant feedback in auctions. Depending on how they configured this event, after submitting a response, you can receive feedback on how your prices compare with other participants’ prices, such as the value of the lead bid, your rank in the auction and a graph comparing the bids in the auction.

You can see bid status details defined by the buyer in the Bid History section of the event page.

• You see the green hammer icon for your newest bid.
• You see the orange hammer icon when you have submitted the leading bid.
• You see the gray hammer icon for a tie bid.

If you submit a prebid, SAP Ariba shows market feedback on the event page after the auction goes live.
