What is the current process for Customization requests?

Resolution

As of November 14th 2022, SAP Ariba Product Support no longer handles the creation or modification of new or existing Customization or Custom Fields. This includes, but is not limited to, the following examples:

New field requests
Changing field character limits
Customizing business process flow
Updates to visibility, editability, validity conditions, and defaulting
Relation entries conditions

If the creation or modification of new or existing Customizations or Custom Fields is needed, then the Custom Field Package for SAP Ariba solutions must be purchased from the SAP Store. A feasibility check, or customization inquiry, may be completed prior by purchasing the Custom Field Package for SAP Ariba solutions.

The SAP Store – Customization Template for SAP Ariba Solutions:

Is a requirement for requesting a feasibility check/customization review.
Works for all SAP Ariba solutions (excluding SAP Business Network for Supply Chain Collaboration), and detailed instructions are embedded within the document that explain how to properly complete the document before submitting it for review.

Customers should not log cases for these requests in SAP Ariba Connect/SAP4Me after November 14, 2022.

Technical Support – Procurement will continue to support the following requests after November 14, 2022, through our standard case submission process on SAP For Me. The support team will assess requests related to the below examples individually and reserves the right to direct customers to purchase a Custom field package for SAP Ariba solutions via the SAP Store depending on the extent of the request. These examples are as follow:

Label changes of existing fields
Help Tip changes of existing fields
Translations of existing fields
Modifying export file settings

Note: The customization with Support will be limited to <5 fields and if the requirement is more than the limitations support will not be handling the customization and this needs to be raised a customization request or reach out to Customer Support Manager (CSM) for assistance.
