This feature allows you to expand your organization's purchasing options by allowing users to search for products on Amazon Business from within SAP Ariba Buying, SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, and guided buying.
Spot Buy currently supports 2 sources of content: marketplace content through Search APIs and CIF catalogues uploaded to Maximus Seller. When a purchaser submits a search request, Spot Buy presents results from the relevant marketplace and network sellers. Punch out catalogues are NOT supported. This limits Spot Buy’s business value to customers because many suppliers will only use punch out.
This feature will operationalize punchout to expand marketplace partners, users will be able to utilize suppliers’ search API, and there will be easier catalog maintenance for suppliers.

- SAP Ariba Buying
- SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing
- For SAP Ariba Buying and SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, this feature requires the Spot Buy capability.
- For guided buying with SAP Ariba Buying and SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, this feature requires the guided buying capability.
- To set up and configure Spot Buy, you must be a member of the Spot Buy Administrator group.
- You must have an Amazon Business punchout set up which uses the same email address that you use in the SAP Ariba system. You must be the Amazon Business administrator.
- Your payment information is set up within your Amazon Business account.
- If this is your first time setting up a Spot Buy online store, you must start by setting up the Spot Buy capability for your organization. If Spot Buy is set up already, you can go directly to setting up Amazon Business as a Spot Buy content source.
