I created an invoice with no taxes. The external tax engine calculated the sales tax and Ariba native tax engine calculated the withholding tax (WHT) at the invoice reconciliation (IR) line item level.
Why is the WHT not updated on the Payable to Supplier when it is present in the line item?

The WHT amount is not appearing in the Payable to Supplier section on the IR because, WHT is an auto-generated tax line and was not in the invoice.

• For those cases, where WHT was not added at the invoice level, the system calculates the WHT at the IR.
• As this was generated at the IR stage, WHT exceptions need to be set up to handle the auto-generated tax lines.
• The Tax Manager or exception handler can then take action whether to accept that auto-generated tax line or not in the IR.
• Once accepted, the WHT will reflect on the Payable to Supplier.

The WHT exceptions like Withholding Tax - Over Tax Variance and Withholding Tax - Under Tax Variance must have Apply Absolute Tolerance to Difference set to No, as per the standard configuration.
