Some sites still require ActiveX for exporting reports to Microsoft Excel. The only browser that supports ActiveX is Microsoft Internet Explorer, which will no longer be supported by SAP Ariba cloud solutions as of December 31, 2021.

You can configure your site to it doesn't require ActiveX for exporting reports to Excel. Have your Designated Support Contact (DSC) log a Case. An SAP Ariba Support representative will follow up to fulfill the request by enabling the following features:

• CUP-17662, ActiveX removal for reports
• CUP-21666, ActiveX removal for Sourcing Reports

Once ActiveX is disabled, exports to Excel will not automatically populate the pivots and charts in the standard templates. Users must open those tabs and refresh the objects. For more information, refer to the following help topic:

These features should be enabled on demand by creating a case to SAP Ariba Support team (Analytical Reporting).
