How to create Pricing Term excel file from Contract Terms in a Contract Workspace (CW)?


Resolution

The below steps provide you details on creating an ad hoc Contract Term Document in a CW and then exporting it to excel

1. Create a CW containing a Contract Terms document. Click Open to edit the Contract Terms
2. Define the Contract Header information including the Contract type and Supplier
3. Navigate to the Pricing Terms step and add at least a single item-level pricing term. This will be our template item
4. Save the edited Contract Terms
5. Click on the Contract Terms from the Contract Workspace and click Export to Excel. This will generate an excel file containing the currently defined Contract Term information.

The exported Terms file will appear in the CW as a new document. Once the new document is available in CW.

1. Click on the Terms excel file and click Download Draft
2. Save the file to your desktop or any other folder location
3. Open the Excel file and note that the Contract Header Information has been defined already
4. You would be able to make one more copy of the template item and then modify the Description, Supplier Part Number and Pricing. Once you are completed with defining your Catalog items, save the Excel document.
5. Click on the Terms file and click Replace Document

Select the Excel Terms file you have edited and click Replace

Note: The exported term file is automatically set to be used as Contract Content.
