# How do I know if a supplier user is Private or Public?

## Symptom

How do I know if a supplier user is **Private** or **Public**?

## Resolution

To check the status of a supplier user, follow the below steps:

1. Click **Manage >** Click **Administration**
2. Click **Supplier and Customer Manager**
3. Click **Users**
4. Search for the supplier user
5. Look at the **Status** column to know if the supplier user is **Private** or **Public**

If the status is **Private**, the supplier user is not linked to the buyer user. If the status is **Public**, the supplier is linked to the buyer user.
