# What are the requirements for a valid user password on the SAP Business Network?

## Symptom

What are the requirements for a valid user password on the SAP Business Network?

## Resolution

Your user account password must meet the following criteria:

- Must contain between 8 and 32 characters.
- Must not contain 3 or more repetitive or sequential characters (ex. "aaaaa", "123abcd").
- Must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one numeric character, and one special character. Special characters allowed are !#$&'()\*+,-./:;\<=>?@^\_\`{|}~"\]\[
- Cannot match 6 previously used passwords.
