What are the requirements for a valid user password on the SAP Business Network?

Your user account password must meet the following criteria:

• Must contain between 8 and 32 characters.
• Must not contain 3 or more repetitive or sequential characters (ex. "aaaaa", "123abcd").
• Must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one numeric character, and one special character. Special characters allowed are !#$&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@^_`{|}~"][
• Cannot match 6 previously used passwords.

• To sign in to your Ariba Supplier account, you must know the account user name and password. If you are unsure of your account user name, please see How do I retrieve my username?
• Your account will be lockout after 3 unsuccessful attempts on the SAP Business Network
• Session timeout set for 30 minutes on the SAP Business Network
• If you are not an administrator or a sub user with access to credit card information, then your password will not expire for 5 years. If you are an admin or have access to credit card information it will expire every 90 days.
• You can reset your password as many times as you need during a day and can contact Ariba Customer Support to request a password reset be sent.
