# How can I remove blank spaces on Managed Gateway for Spend&Network mapping?

**Question**

How can I remove blank spaces on SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network mapping?

**Answer**

The Normalize function removes white spaces from the field value. Follow the steps below to perform the mapping:

1. Map the source field to the target field
2. Right click on the map line
3. Choose?**Functions?**>?**Add Functions** > **Add Normalize Function**
4. Save the mapping?

- The **Normalize Function** just removes the blank spaces at the beginning and end of the string.
