Why is my PR/PO stuck in Ordering status when using Asynchronous integration?
Symptom

Requisition (PR) and/or Purchase Order (PO) stuck in Ordering status.


Environment

SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing

SAP Ariba Purchasing & Receiving


Resolution

When using asynchronous integration via Export Purchase Orders Asynchronously task, Ariba will not move the PR/PO to an Ordered status until Ariba receives a PO acknowledgment from your ERP. Since asynchronous integration tasks are not real-time, you must initiate a PO import from your ERP to complete the integration.

If you are using the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network, you can check if the PO acknowledgment has been imported from your ERP via the following steps:

  1. Visit the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network. If you are in Ariba, you can open it via Integration Manager > SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network > Visit SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network
  2. Click Transaction Tracker tab
  3. Select Test or Production
  4. Search for your PO
  5. You should see both Export (Ariba to ERP) and Import (ERP to Ariba) integration events for your PO.
