What is the event status?
Symptom

What is the status of my event? What does each event status mean? Why can't I participate in this event?

Resolution

The event status can be seen in the top right corner of your screen when you are inside the event.

StatusDescription
PreviewBuyers can choose to have a period before the event opens, this allows the supplier to view content ahead of time but they will not be able to respond until the event is in an open status.
OpenThe event is open for participant responses. Buyers can edit, cancel, pause, or close the event.
ReviewThe event is closed for supplier responses while the buyer reviews the submissions. It is recommend for suppliers to stay connected to the event while in Review as the buyer may choose to reopen all or some portion of the event.
Pending SelectionThe event has closed for responses and is pending the buyer awarding selections. Buyers can reopen or edit the event.
PausedThe event has been paused by the buyer during an open state. This allows the buyer to make any edits if necessary.
CompletedThe event is completed. Buyers can no longer reopen or edit the event. The completed state is the end point of events that run their course normally.
CancelledAt any point after publishing an event, buyers can choose to cancel it. Canceling an event bypasses all the other statuses and immediately ends the event. The cancelled state indicates that the buyer aborted the event.

The event status can only be changed by the buyer.

In the Guided Sourcing user interface for buyers, the Review state is called Reviewing Responses and the Pending Selection state is called Review Responses. Suppliers will continue to see the standard event states listed above in their interface.
