How do I use the Excel Import option to upload my responses to a sourcing event?

You can export (download) and import event data to and from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, allowing you to create offline responses and bids. When you use this feature, your responses will be transferred to the Excel file and then populated into the corresponding response fields of the event.

To import or upload your answers from the download content spreadsheet:

1. Access the event.
2. Complete the event prerequisites.
3. Select and confirm the lots you will quote.
4. In the Submit Response step, click on Import from Excel > Download Content.
5. Save the content to your computer without changing the file name.
6. Enter your responses in the spreadsheet:
   • Intent to Bid cells are green - they require Yes or No answer.
   • Required response cells are yellow - a tooltip in the upper-right corner will show the expected answer type.
   • Optional response cells are white with a black border - they will also have a tooltip.
   • Cells to not be populated are white with a gray border.
   • Use the correct response type in order for the system to import your responses.
   • Select answers from pull down menu.
   • Do not change any cell formatting in the Excel sheet.

Once you are ready to import your response:

1. On the left side in the Checklist, click Submit Response.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click Excel Import.
3. Click Choose File to locate the spreadsheet file on your computer.
4. Click Upload.

With a successful import, your responses will now be displayed in the appropriate response fields. If there are filling errors or mandatory fields left empty, the system will prompt you to correct or fill them before importing again.
