Why am I receiving "The ERP Integration sourcing request could not be created successfully. This could be because of incomplete data in the quote request. Please log into the sourcing system to check the status" in the SAP Business Network when integrating a sourcing request?

This error is generic and can be thrown for any of the following reasons

• When a VendorId is passed in the commerce extensible markup language (cXML) that is not mapped to a supplier in AN
• When a VendorId is passed in the commerce extensible markup language (cXML) that is not mapped to a supplier in Ariba Sourcing
• When any date data types passed in the cXML are not in a date format
• When the ShipTo cXML tag is missing at the header or line level
• When the Classification MaterialGroup (Commodity Code in the User Interface) cXML tag is not a valid United Nations Standard Products and Services (UNSPC) commodity code or custom commodity code in the sourcing realm
• When a QuoteItemOut XML line item with an itemType of composite does not contain any child line items
• When a QuoteItemOut XML line item with an itemClassification of service does not contain a lineNumber or parentLineNumber reference value

To check the Commodity Code a customer has available in their realm go to Manage > Administration > Commodity Code Manager > Commodity Codes

When sending VendorId cXML tags the below features can be utilized per the customers preference

• Sourcing feature CF-6889
• Sourcing feature SM-14271
• AN feature CF-6890
• AN feature Quote Automation
