How do I enable an API from the SAP Ariba API Developer Portal?

Resolution

A Developer or Organization Admin user can request that an API be enabled as follows:

  1. Login to the SAP Ariba Developer Portal.
  2. Click Manage from the left navigation menu.
  3. Click Applications.
  4. Search for the application you want enabled.
  5. Click Actions > Request API Access.

After this a tab will open and you will be able to procced with the next part:

  1. Select the API name in the API Names dropdown – this is the API that you want to access using this application.
  2. Enter the realm name in the Realm Name field – this is the site that you want the application to be enabled for.
  3. Select if you want: Production or Test. (Remember that we recommend a creation of one realm per API)
  4. Click Submit.

The following steps then need to be taken by a user with Organization Admin privileges:

  1. Click Manage in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click Applications.
  3. Search for the application.
