# How do I create a Customer Catalog?

## Symptom

How can I create a catalog for my customer?

## Environment

SAP Ariba Business Network

## Resolution

To create and upload a customer catalog, follow the instructions below:

1. On the home dashboard, click **Catalogs** > **Customer Catalogs** > **Create**.
2. Enter a unique catalog name and click **Next**.
3. Choose who should see your catalog:
   - **Private**: SAP Business Network makes your catalog visible only to customers that you specify.
   - **Public**: SAP Business Network makes your catalog visible to all customers.
4. Click **Next**.
5. Click **Choose File** and upload your catalog file (see [*CIF file template*](https://help.sap.com/docs/ARIBA_NETWORK_SUPPLIERS/1e9220c0f83d42d097418c387d3bea9b/bb04ac1900d945cb83174cfea6ec004a.html) for example files).
6. Click **Validate** and **Publish**.
