Why can't I change my Company Name in the Company Profile page?
Symptom

The Company Name box grayed out in the Company Profile page.


Cause
  1. You are attempting to change the Company Name in the test account.
  2. Your account may be part of an account hierarchy and the Company Profile of your parent account is linked to your account. When a profile is linked, all information in the child account mirrors that of the parent and cannot be changed from the child ANID.

Resolution
  1. Log into the production account to change the Company Name, it will be copied to the test account.
  2. The administrator for the parent account will need to unlink the Company Profile for your child account or change the information on the parent account.
    Clicking on the [user initials] > Settings > Account Hierarchy.
    You must be the administrator of the account, or have the Account Hierarchy Administration permission to see this page.

If it is a standalone test account, then a case needs to be opened to request SAP support to change the company name.
