What controls visibility for specific catalog or supplier (in a catalog search) for Generic variant sites?

Supplier visibility is controlled specifically by the Purchasing Unit in a Generic Variant site.

Beyond the assignment of Purchasing Unit, Catalogs, and therefore Suppliers, can be limited based on Catalog Views and Item Constraints. Additionally, there is the possibility to add additional filtering through custom configuration, however this is not system-defined standard behavior.

Assign the Supplier to the Purchasing Unit associated with the User who is unable to see the desired Supplier. This is setup in the Import Suppliers task (Supplier.csv file) which defines the Partitioned Supplier in the Ariba Buying application, and associates the Supplier to a list of Purchasing Units.
