Decimal separator in money fields shows as comma rather than point or vice versa
Symptom
- Decimal separator in money fields shows as comma rather than point or vice versa.
- For a particular user, the decimal separator in money fields show as a comma rather than a point or the other way around.
- For example, for an amount of one hundred dollars and ninety nine cents, the system would show 100,99 USD. For an amount of ten thousand dollars and ninety nine cents, the system would show 10.000,99 USD. When the expected notation in this scenario is 10,000.99 USD, this can cause issues when filling a money field in a requisition, invoice, event, etc.
Resolution
Check the locale or if necessary, change it for the affected user by clicking on the name in the top right corner of the screen and choosing Change Default Locale.
