As part of the CI9 (Cloud Integration 9) Direct connectivity integration, we have configured the below 2 web services in the SOAMANAGER:
When we do the “Ping web service” test on both these web services on the SOAMANAGER screen, we get the error message below:
“SRT Framework exception: Service Ping ERROR: Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("Connect to s1.ariba.com:443 failed: NIECONN_REFUSED(-10)")”.
There can be two causes:
The ICM HTTPS Port should be with Port as 443.
If the HTTPS Port is not 443, then we get the below error when we ping the webservice:
"SRT Framework exception: Service Ping ERROR: Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED")"
If you are using SOAMANAGER Direct connectivity method , you need to ensure that you have the required Ariba certificates imported in STRUST (Trust Manager) of your ECC (ERP Central Component) system. Refer to How to install the SSL client certificate for HTTPS connectionfor detailed steps.
Refer to SAP Ariba Public DigiCert Web Server Certificates for a list and download links for Ariba certificates.
It is enough to have the public server certificate installed in your ECC system. However, it is always recommended to install the intermediate certificate as well along with the public server certificate.
After installing the certificates, you should see an entry in STRUST as SSL System Client SSL Client with the content from the imported certificate.
Once the required certificates are in place and the SOAMANAGER settings are correct (refer to How to configure SOAMANAGER), you should see a message as below when you ping the webservice:
"Web service ping failed (RC=403). Service Ping ERROR: Forbidden"
