Failed receipts were not exported to the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and remain stuck in Awaiting Processing status after receiving ERP Push Errors multiple times when they were exported previously.
Receipts in Awaiting Processing status will be exported/resent to the ERP only a finite number of times, OOTB (out of the box) number of retries is 25.
The number of retries to push receipts in Awaiting Processing status is controlled by parameter Application.Receiving.MaxRetriesToSendPushFailedReceipts, the default value is set to 25. After 25 retries, Ariba stops pushing the receipt to the ERP system.
The Receipts are retried to be sent once every 6 hours, as per the ProcessPendingReceipts scheduled task.
Parameter value can be increased as per the business need. However, it is not recommended to go beyond 1500.
- Increasing the retry count without fixing the ERP Push Error reason will not help in pushing the receipts successfully.
- The cause of the ERP Push Error needs to be fixed on the ERP side.
- If the parameter is increased, Ariba will retry to send all the receipts that are in Awaiting Processing status in the realm, this can't be controlled nor limited to only specific receipts.
- If you need to prevent receipts from being sent to the ERP once the parameter is increased, you should use Force Process option on receipts and manually process them on the ERP. Force Process will not be sent to the ERP again but the it updates to Processed status.
- When the parameter Application.Receiving.EnableProcessPendingReceipts is enabled, receipts in Processing status will be exported, too. This is not applicable for File Channel export.
