What is the Data Dictionary and how do I access it?

The Data Dictionary is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that describes the tables saved in the database. In the data dictionary, we can find each of the Import/Export tasks':

• Columns
• Respective values, including their definitions and restrictions (required/optional fields, length of string values, etc.)

The Data Dictionary is generated when you click the download link and contains up-to-date descriptions of all available fields at the time of access.

To download the Data Dictionary:

1. Go to Core Administration.
2. Click Data Import / Export.
3. Click Download Data Dictionary.

The page may appear blank while the Data Dictionary is being downloaded.

Once you have the Data Dictionary open, the last tab of the Excel document lists links for each import and export task.

To get to the last tab quicker: press and hold Ctrl or ⌘ and right-click the right triangle in the bottom-left corner of the Excel sheet.
