How do I configure rule-specific escalation periods?
SAP Ariba Core Administration
When approval process administrators set rule-specific escalation periods, approvers can click a button on the approval request to extend the review period.
Prerequisites:
- Open an approval process and click Edit.
- Make sure the approval process has a list of reasons defined for escalation extensions. You upload reasons on the Extension Reasons tab.
- Submit an Case to have Ariba Support enable Feature ID: CF-2817
Procedure:
- Select the approval rule for which you want to configure a rule-specific escalation period.
- Select the Approvers can opt for a rule-specific escalation period check box.
Next, fields are displayed for specifying the escalation period and warning period:
- In the Escalation Warning Period field, enter the length of the rule-specific escalation warning period, in days.
- The escalation warning period must be at least one day longer than the escalation warning period defined for this type of approvable.
- In the Escalation Period field, enter the length of the rule-specific escalation period, in days.
- The escalation period must be at least one day longer than the escalation period defined for this type of approvable.
