Why can't I find the sourcing request template?

You must create a sourcing request template since it is not automatically added to your site.

The default configuration Sourcing Request Template can be used only for sourcing requests that are created out of integration with the SAP ERP and Ariba Sourcing solution.

To copy and customize a template you can manually use within your site, follow these steps:

1. Click Manage > Templates.
2. Open the Sourcing Templates folder and click the Sourcing Request Template.
3. Click Copy to create a version you can edit.
4. Enter a Title for the template, and click OK.
5. Locate your newly created copy, and click Open.
6. On the Overview tab, click IsExternalOrigin under the Conditions field and deselect it from the pull-down menu. The Conditions field will now display (none).
7. Click Actions > Publish.

Alternatively, you can create a new Sourcing Request template from scratch with the following steps:

1. Click Manage > Templates.
2. Access the Sourcing Templates folder, and click Actions > Create > Template.
3. Select Sourcing Request and click OK.
4. Enter a Title, and select the Full Project for the Project Type field.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Actions > Publish.

Now that you have created a new editable copy of the sourcing request template, you can customize the associated tabs according to your own organization's business processes.

You must be a member of the Template Creator group to complete the aforementioned steps.
