Why can't I create a non-catalog item? The Add Non-Catalog Item button is not available.

You likely can't create a non-catalog item because you are restricted by the groups assigned to your account.

If you belong the Purchasing User group, you can create non-catalog items on requisitions, unless you are also a member of the No Ad-hoc Item group. This group restricts you from ordering non-catalog items, even if you are already a member of the Purchasing User group.

Verify your groups by clicking your name in the upper right corner and choosing Change your profile. If you don't see the Purchasing User group, or if the No Ad-hoc Item group is present, contact your internal help desk or your company's Designated Support Contacts in order to request a change.
