Issue

Commerce eXtensible Markup Language (cXML) invoice failed with the following error message:

INV-71: The Supply Date in the VAT entry in the invoice summary is missing.

Resolution

Include the necessary VAT information in your cXML invoice and resubmit it.

Cause

The taxPointDate attribute is missing from the InvoiceDetailSummary element of the cXML invoice. Your customer has enabled the Require supply date when VAT is chosen as tax category invoicing rule, which means that your customer requires you to include Value Added Tax (VAT) information in the taxPointDate attribute.
