## Symptom

How do I run an individual data import task manually?

## Resolution

To run a data import task in your site:

1. Navigate to **Manage > Core Administration** (**Manage > Administration** in Ariba Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management Solutions).
2. Access the **Site Manager > Data Import/Export** section.
3. On the **Import** tab, find the individual data import task you want to run, and click **Import**.
4. Select the radio button for the data import operation you want to perform.  
     
   The data import operation determines exactly how the data is imported. If a data import task does not support a particular data import operation, that operation is not available. The maximum number of objects that can be removed from the database at one time is 160,000; this setting cannot be changed. If this number is exceeded, a warning message is displayed.
5. For data import tasks that import translations, choose the language of the translation from the pull-down menu.
6. Click **Browse** to locate the appropriate comma-separated values (CSV) or Microsoft Excel file(s) on your computer.
7. Click **Run** and **OK** to import your data, or click **Cancel** to return to the previous page without importing your data.
