How do I control user access to Sourcing Library?

Resolution

To control user access to Sourcing Library:

  1. From your dashboard, click Manage > Sourcing Library.
  2. Click the Show Detailed View link, if it appears. This displays various tabs, like you see in other workspaces.
  3. Click Team tab, which displays two project groups: Active Observers and Project Owner.
  4. To make changes, click Actions > Edit.
    • You must belong to the Project Owner group to edit the team. Contact SAP Support to add you to this group if you cannot edit the team.
  5. Add the users or groups that you want to be able to create documents to the Active Observers project group.
    • Alternatively, assign users to the Project Owner group to give them full administrative access to Sourcing Library.
  6. Click OK.

Use these same steps to limit access to any project or workspace in your site.

Additional Information

The Sourcing Library functions as a knowledge project, and it includes a team just like any other workspace on the site. Users in the Project Owner or Active Observers group can create documents. By default, the Internal User site group is assigned to Active Observers in the Sourcing Library. Because Internal User is a very basic group, many users on your site have access to it and, thus, can create documents.
