• How often does my report data update?
• Is it possible to have real-time Analytical Report data?

Customers share database resources for the Ariba Spend Management (ASM) loads, which are responsible for updating report data. These ASM loads queue to run every 6 hours, after completion of the previous load operation.
At the moment we don't have real-time data on Analytical Report, our Engineering team is working on this improvement project, and we don't have an ETA for the improvement release.

The reason you might not see a consistent six-hour schedule is that, for performance reasons, only so many concurrent loads (other customer ASM loads) run at one time. If the ASM load queue is full, the waiting ASM load begins running as soon as a slot becomes available. Site performance is a high priority for Ariba's customers, which means that you might encounter fluctuations in ASM data load schedules.

Following are a few additional points about reporting data loads:

• The ASM Data Load applies to both Production (live) and Test (development) environments.
• Remember that the ASM load schedule cannot be customized. SAP Support cannot change the schedule of the ASM Data Load.
• For each customer, the software schedules the next Automated ASM Data Load six hours after completion of previous data load.
• The time required for the data load to run depends on the data size or other long running data loads on other schemas.
• Check the ASM load history and upcoming schedule by going to Manage > Administration > Reporting Manager > Schema Manager. Time stamps in this section appear in your local time zone.
• As a best practice, wait 24 hours for new or updated records to reflect in reports. If new or existing records are updated during an ASM load (In Progress status), the changes do not appear in reports until the next scheduled ASM load completes successfully.
• The date field Report data was last updated on in reports is not updated if no new data has been loaded or updated into the fact. That does not mean that the loads are not running or the report data is not current or accurate.
