# How do I change the administrator in my SAP Business Network supplier account?

## Symptom

- I am the current administrator and would like to transfer the administrator role to another user.
- I have access to the previous administrator's account but need to update the administrator.
- My company changed our email domain, and I need to update it in the administrator's account.

## Resolution

Depending on what access you have, use any of the following procedures to change your account's administrator:

- You're the current administrator and you'd like to transfer the administrator role to another user that already exists in the account.
- 1. 1. Click your **\[User Initials\]** in the upper-right corner.
     2. Go to **Settings** > **Account Administration** > **Manage Users**.
     3. Find the user you want to transfer the account to.
     4. Click **Actions** > **Make Administrator** next to their name.
     5. Select your new role, then click **Assign** and **OK** to confirm.
- You have access to the previous administrator's account and you'd like to make yourself (or another employee) be the administrator
  1. 1. Click **\[User Initials\]** on the upper-right corner.
     2. Select **My Account**.
     3. Update below information:
        - User's full name
        - User email
        - Contact information
     4. Click **Save**.

**Note:** **You should not change the username if you have existing buyer relationships in your Sourcing account, as this will result in the subsequent disconnection from these buyer organizations.**

If you have updated the Email Address field, you will receive a confirmation email at the updated email address with the subject line: **Confirmation of your Updated Email Address.** Please click on the included link to confirm your updated email address. Note that the link will expire in 72 hours.

- The previous administrator left company, but you have access to the administrator email address. Refer to this link: [How do I reset my password as a supplier?](https://support.ariba.com/item/view/KB0395854)

After you sign in, you can transfer the administrator role to an existing user or update the the administrator refer to the steps above.
