# How can an administrator user reset a user's password?

## Symptom

- I am the buyer account administrator for SAP Fieldglass and I would like to reset the password for a buyer user
- I am the supplier account administrator and I would like to reset the password for a supplier user

## Resolution

Only a Buyer/Supplier user with an Administrator role has access to reset other users' passwords.

To reset another user's password:

1. Sign into your account
2. Click **Admin Configuration** (gear icon) > **User**
   - If you do not see User, you do not have permission
     - If you are a buyer user, request help from your [Program Management Office](https://support.fieldglass.com/Help_Center/Fieldglass/item/KB0345819)
     - If you are a supplier user, request help from your system administrator
3. Click on the user's name to open the user's account profile.
4. Check on the field as follow:
   - Password Authentication
   - SSO
     - Both field were set to **Yes**
     - Users set to access SAP Fieldglass via **Single Sign-On (SSO) only** will not have the option to reset their password
5. Click **Reset Password** > **Reset**
6. An email with a password reset link will be sent to that user
