How do I amend a Contract Workspace (CW)?
To amend a published CW:
- Check that you have the necessary permissions to amend by being listed as Project Owner on the team for the contract.
- In the Contract Attributes section of the Overview tab, click Actions > Amend.
- Choose the amendment type. The amendment types allow you to specify the reason for changing the published contract. Depending on your site configuration, you might have additional fields for each amendment type.
- Add an Amendment Reason.
- Click OK.
Once the amendment has been created, your contract will be in a Draft Amendment status until you make any necessary changes and publish the contract again.
The available amendment types and their definitions are below:
- Renewal - Change the effective date, expiration date, and reminder settings.
- Amendment - Change any part of the contract workspace. If you change a document associated with a task that has Repeat for Each Document Draft selected, the task will be reactivated.
- Administrative - Change non-contract details, such as adding a team member, uploading a supplemental document, or changing a description field. This type of change does not create a new version of the contract workspace, which keeps the status of Published.
- Termination - Change the expiration date and reminder settings. Use this amendment type to close a contract before its expiration date due to an adverse condition or disagreement.
- Price Update - Only visible if Line Item Documents are enabled and present.
